All things pink at CSL

Wearing all things pink and looking absolutely fabulous, staff from Converged Solutions Limited (CSL), got in the groove to support this year’s Breast Cancer Awareness campaign.

CSL Director, Pete Twist, commenting on the days pink shenanigans said: “Dressed in a stunning selection of pink ribbons, hats, tops, shirts, shoes and balloons, across the country the CSL team, wherever they were, joined in.

“Our staff and engineers are never all in once place as they work all over the country from Edinburgh to Falmouth and everywhere in-between, so it’s great that they really supported this event. It was a real team effort for a really great charity.”

From UK office based staff, to onsite project managers and engineering teams based internationally, everyone was invited to join in. CSL’s administration manager and event organiser, Sarah Martin, personally understands the devastating impact breast cancer can have. “I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2000 and once again in 2005. It’s been an uphill struggle at times and I personally understand the impact breast cancer can have on the individual and on the whole family.

“I suggested going pink for the day last year and everyone was up for it, so this year they were way ahead of me and had already sorted their outfits. They wanted to show their support, which was great. Even our local postman, Andy gave a donation which was lovely. We all want to send a message that it only takes a few people to make a real difference.”

The UK’s official statistics for breast cancer diagnosis is currently over 42,000 new cases per year and with over 17,000 calls made to the charities free helpline last year, CSL staff have already made a commitment to do it all again next year.
