Bikes at the ready for festive forest treasure hunt

The Royal Forester at Callow Hill, in association with the PTA of local school, Far Forest Primary, will once again hold their very popular Festive Family Mountain Bike Treasure Hunt on Monday 27th December, starting at The Royal Forester, and taking in some of the most stunning scenery the Wyre Forest has to offer.

Warm clothing, mountain bikes and an entrance fee of £2.50 per entrant is all that is required said landlord Sean McGahern: “We are absolutely delighted to once again host the festive treasure hunt. Having four children myself, I understand how hard it can be to keep them entertained at Christmas. We’re more than happy to again support Far Forest School’s PTA by holding this very festive family event.”

Registration is at 10:15 at The Royal Forester, with the hunt starting at 10:30am, setting off from the Wyre Forest Visitor Centre into the forest to follow a set trail of clues, returning approximately two hours later for a complementary festive fayre for everyone to enjoy.

Far Forest PTA Chair, Mrs Kerry Beard said: “The school is overjoyed Sean has once again agreed to hold this fantastic Christmas family event and we would like to extend our thanks to both Sean and all the team at The Royal Forester for helping us again raise much needed funds for the school.”

A fun family event, the minimum family team requirement is of one adult to one child (14 years or under) has no upper age limit, just lots of fun in store for all the family, with each family team able to win a whole host of prizes as they progress throughout the hunt.

For further information or to register, please contact Sean at The Royal Forester on 01299 266286 or Far Forest School on 01299 266316.
