Building blocks provide natural play for Worcestershire school |

Children from Holy Trinity International School’s Nursery and Kindergarten are thoroughly enjoying playing with their new wooden building blocks, specifically designed to support quality play and an extended learning experience thanks to the Early Years Capital Funding Project (EYCFP) administered by Worcestershire County Council.
Nursery and Kindergarten Manager, Gaynor Carter, stated: “A child’s learning and development benefits greatly from diversity in core activities as well as experience, so the use of differing materials such as our wonderful new wooden building blocks is a valuable addition to the nursery.”
Previously receiving EYCAP funding for a new children’s play area for the nursery, their latest addition to their practical play resources is being enjoyed by both children and nursery staff.
“The use of natural resources will be used by all Nursery, Kindergarten and Little Trinity children, helping with their development of motor skills, hand to eye coordination and will aid and facilitate group play.”
