Employee award recognition as firm celebrates decade of trade |

Staff at a local firm, Redditch based Oakland International Limited, scored a double celebration as the company officially marked a decade in business and held a special presentation for employees with a long service award at a private company celebration evening held at Worcester’s Bowl Xtreme.
Of the 105 employees now working for Oakland at their Beoley and Alcester depots, 6 staff were formally acknowledged by Oakland’s Managing Director, Dean Attwell, being presented with a crystal Long Service plaque to mark their achievements.
Dean said: “Oakland began trading in 1998, and over ten years we have all worked hard and now enjoy consistent growth year on year with employee numbers haven swollen from our original 10 to 105, with further recruitment underway.”
Speaking directly to Oakland’s Long Service award recipients, he said: “Oakland’s team is quite simply amazing, and what better time to thank all of you than at our 10th anniversary celebrations. We thank each and every one of you for all your hard work, loyalty and friendship, and on a personal note, I would like to thank you for joining us ten years ago, as without you we wouldn’t be the company we are today.”
A multi temperature supply chain specialist, Oakland operates supply chain solutions forchilled, ambient & frozen goods daily throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe, to retailers, discounters and foodservice outlets such as Tesco, Waitrose, Aldi, Nisa, Londis and P&H. Since the company’s inception, the international supply chain arena has changed much, with Oakland constantly evolving and acknowledged for their superior service level.
The company has recently announced a recruitment drive with more employment opportunities set to follow. Said Dean: “We have a great team of people, great customers and here’s to another ten years of successful business.”
