Export business booms at Oakland International

A multi temperature supply chain specialist in warehousing and logistics, Oakland International has seen export turnover increase by over 44% in the last financial year.

Export sales at the Midlands-based firm now account for over 20% of their annual turnover compared to just 16% in 2009.

Oakland International MD Dean Attwell commented: “We are delighted with the growth in our levels of export service. We have invested heavily to ensure that we have the necessary language skills on site and the right offer to tempt overseas clients. Our business development focus outside of the UK and Ireland over the last three years has been on Germany, France, Holland, Italy and Spain although we are currently considering extending this over the next 12 months to include China, Poland and Russia.”

Oakland has been providing distribution solutions within the UK, Ireland and continental Europe for over 10 years and is now seeing a rapid growth in its export sales.
