Holyhead to Swansea - a weekend on a bike for charity! |
|
It’s so good to see so many individuals and businesses taking up a challenge in support of a fantastic charity,
... and although every man and his dog are doing something, and you are probably ‘Maxed’ out on donations, if you could make a small contribution in support of 17 old men whose minds are all probably living in the past as far as their ability to complete this 200 mile ride in a weekend is concerned, it would be most welcome...and it is indeed for a very good cause.
All monies raised by the Midlands TP chaps’ sponsored bike ride will go to support 2 fantastic charities – Children’s Hospices UK and the Breast Cancer Campaign.
5th September leave Holyhead, arriving Swansea 6th September 2010
This may seem an impossible challenge, particularly as none of the TP men are what you would call fit, but they are in training and building up from 2 miles to 3 miles each evening, so they should be ready to conquer 70-80 miles a day – and yes, I am concerned for their health!
They have all passed their cycling proficiency test and one chap has already had lots of experience with bicycle repairs having 5 punctures and 3 falls in just 2 weeks...!
All donations are being collected on one page - Please press the link below to donate and on their behalf ... Thank You!
