Local child bereavement charity, Noah’s Ark Trust, are to benefit following an ‘It’s a Knockout’ charity challenge organized and hosted by Midlands logistics and retail supply chain specialist Oakland International.
Together with their sponsors NST and Proteus, the company has so far raised an incredible £5,133.
Oakland International’s marketing and events co-ordinator, Hayley Smith, stated: “What a fabulous day and thank you so much to everyone who came to support the event, and most importantly to all our courageous and enthusiastic teams for taking part. Everyone had a brilliant time and we’re now looking forward to doing it all again in 2012!”
Overall winners were team ‘AM2PM’ with 95 points, followed by ‘The A Team’ made up of staff from recruitment firms First Personnel and Best Connections who were in joint 2nd place with team ‘Mission ‘im possible’ from Irwin Mitchell solicitors.
Next year’s event will be on Sunday 1st July 2012 with team bookings already being taken.
