Landmark Wholesale success for first anniversary of Oakland Distribution

 

Redditch-based Oakland Distribution, a subsidiary of Oakland International, has recently celebrated its first year of servicing Landmark Wholesale with a range of Members benefitting from the firm’s first year of successful trading.

Strategic Development Manager, Pete Vaughan, stated: “The launch of Oakland Distribution offers customers access to an exciting range of chilled and ambient products with the focus on providing retail-standard distribution services to wholesale and foodservice customers. Working closely with Landmark Central Office we have created a distribution service with improved flexibility resulting in a greater range of products and delivery options being available to their Members”.

In their first twelve-months, Landmark Wholesale have added new products to the range, some of which have been cross-sourced from Oakland International suppliers thus benefitting Landmark’s 32 Members across the UK, including Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland and the islands of Orkney, Shetland, Jersey.

Landmark Trading Controller, Gordon Walker, stated: “We are pleased with the development of our partnership with Oakland. The first 12 months have shown we have considerable potential to develop the scheme further and look forward to working with the team at Oakland to grow the business for Oakland and our Members.”

Sales for the Landmark Wholesale scheme are set to be in the region of £6m over the coming year, with Oakland looking to increase its first year market share and build on its already successful Oakland Distribution model.
