Milk No Sugar a new local business forum

A new business network called ‘Milk No Sugar?’ is being launched this coming September (Wednesday 9th) in Bewdley, with the single aim of offering a positive platform in which local businesspeople can share, learn and support each other with fresh ideas to help keep their business flourishing.

Meeting on the second Wednesday of every month from 11am to 12:30pm, the new network is the brainchild of local businessman, Nigel Tinsdale, of Tinsdale Investment Management on Load Street in Bewdley who aims to bring together the knowledge of each individual for everyone’s benefit, with the result new ideas, a fresh look at what businesses are doing and how they can create new and enhanced promotional opportunities to generate more profit for their companies.

Nigel who recently launched the Milk No Sugar newsletter, designed to dispel financial myths and offering a quick take on the inflation outlook, specifically chose a midmorning meeting time to allow those who already have commitments at the beginning, middle or the end of the day the opportunity to join. Said Nigel: “I’m a dad, with my wife Kerry and I sharing our childcare responsibilities, so breakfast and evening meetings can tend to be little prohibitive, as with single parents it’s not always easy to spare the time, even if the time would be worthwhile business wise.

“The idea of ‘Milk no Sugar?’ is to collectively bring ideas to the table and learn from each other of what can and has worked for others and how it can be used and adapted to other business models, with the result being greater profitability.”

The recession, and despite what is being said about the worst being over, there is still more to come according to Nigel and his team, and states Nigel, in a recession small companies tend to thrive, doing exceedingly well precisely because they are adaptable with many of them coming out of it the other end far more profitable. “But to achieve this they need to control cash flow and at the same time continue to promote themselves and attract new business.”

Open to all local businesses, all meetings are free to attend with no subscription or meeting fees payable. The venue has yet to be announced, but the theme for the launch meeting will be open, informative and a friendly chat over a cup of tea, coffee or other drink of choice.

Said Nigel: “Every business can learn something new and we all need to generate income to survive. ‘Milk No Sugar?’ aims to put together a range of businesses in a relaxed and informal setting, to share business skills, acumen and experience for the benefit of all concerned; generating general awareness of who we are, and what we all do.”
