New support role for Oakland International supply chain expansion

Louise Ziolek has been appointed to the new post of Planning and Site Development Co-ordinator at Midlands based Oakland International Ltd, to support the firm’s ongoing business development plans of growth and expansion.

A much respected UK multi temperature supply chain specialist, Louise’s position will form a tactical support role for Oakland development plans, with the company having recently extended Irish and UK retailer links and distribution routes via a new Irish hub; attention is now firmly set on developing Oakland’s UK depots at Redditch and Alcester.

Oakland’s MD, Dean Attwell, commenting on her appointment said: “I am delighted to personally welcome Louise to the role of planning and site development co-ordinator and I look forward to the challenges ahead of us as we focus on developing our UK depots to strengthen our position and to enable Oakland to continue our forward growth momentum through 2009 and beyond.”

Louise will work closely with Dean and the rest of the senior management team on site development and planning issues, site improvement and on the company’s wind power strategy. Said Louise: “I am both pleased and excited at the opportunity of such a new role, and the direction it will take will very much depend on the needs of the business; key elements being anticipating and accommodating the changing needs of the organisation to ensure we have the right quantity and quality of space available, whilst ensuring we continue to behave in a environmentally and community responsible way with our forthcoming planning application for the installation of a wind turbine re-affirming Oakland’s commitment to renewable energy.”

Having joined Oakland in 2006, 42 year-old Alcester local Louise will co-ordinate dialogue and planning schedules to ensure all aspects of development are delivered seamlessly via a cohesive approach to expansion beneficial to Oakland’s increasing international client base.
