Oakland Internataional and Proteus to exhibit at Multimodal event

Warehouse Management Systems provider Proteus Software and their client multi temperature supply chain specialist, Oakland International Limited, will both be joining a host of other exhibitors at this year’s must visit freight transport and logistics event, Multimodal 2009. The event is being held at the NEC, Birmingham on 28th to 30th April in Hall 9. Proteus and Oakland are located on the UKWA Pavilion, stand no’s 480 and 470 respectively.

Proteus Software has been supplying warehouse management systems to Oakland International, a major international third party logistics organisation, for several years. Proteus has extensive experience in developing and implementing integrated solutions covering warehouse management, inventory control and sales ordering. Oakland International has implemented a range of PROTEUS modules including Warehouse Management, Inventory Control, Sales Order Processing, Load Planning, Pick Planning and Electronic Trading. Best before dates are key to the Oakland International business operation and these facilities are provided throughout the system.

The PROTEUS Inventory and Warehouse Management systems provide a fully directed paperless warehouse environment using bar codes and radio frequency terminals. The system optimises warehouse movements and provides enhanced accuracy, speed, and warehouse performance. Bar code reading facilities can be used for receipt, putaway, picking, despatch, replenishment and stock take. Users of PROTEUS have seen their productivity rise by over 70% since implementing the system.
