Oakland International adds further strength to its Board

Multi-temperature supply chain specialist Oakland International Limited, with depots in both the UK and Ireland, has announced the appointment of Philip Popp, Commercial Director for Oakland International and Oakland Distribution.

Philip will assume responsibility for sales, new business development and delivering on Oakland's customer retention strategy. Philip joins Oakland after seven and a half years working in discount retail with Lidl food stores, most recently having worked as Regional Director Sales in the West Midlands. Philip will be working directly with other members of the Board to continue to deliver excellent supply chain solutions to all levels of the market place.

Oakland recently won The Grocer Gold Awards Business Initiative of the Year 2011 for their bespoke chilled consolidation scheme in partnership with The Dairy Trader. Oakland MD, Dean Attwell, commented: “I am delighted that Philip has joined Oakland and I know he will help us achieve our ambitious targets for growth in the UK and beyond.”
