Oakland International charity Its a Knockout Challenge

Staff at Midlands supply chain specialist, Oakland International, are inviting local businesses throughout the region to join them for another ‘It’s a Knockout Challenge’ with all proceeds this year going in aide of the Noah’s Ark Trust, a local child bereavement charity.

The event is to take place at Alcester Rugby Club on Saturday 3rd September from 12 noon.

Organising the event, Hayley Smith, Oakland International’s Marketing and Events

Co-ordinator, explained why they are all willing to do it all again: “Last year was the first time we had taken part in an It’s a Knockout Challenge and we all had so much fun and helped a great charity, that we wanted to continue our winning streak, and also support Oakland’s chosen charity for this year of the Noah’s Ark Trust.”

Invitations are already in the post to local businesses and donations can be made at:

http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/Oakland-International with Oakland International hoping this year to raise a mega £10,000 for the Noah’s Ark Trust.

Businesses can enter teams of up to 10 people and must commit to raising a cheque for £1,000 which will go to Noah’s Ark. Team members do not need to be mega fit but need to be prepared for a few physical challenges which will involve getting wet and being laughed at!

The event is professionally managed by the ‘It’s a Knockout’ events team who will ensure that fair play is maintained and that all teams have a great time. Oakland’s MD, Dean Attwell said: “As reigning champions from last year’s event, we want as many local businesses as possible to get behind this event – that is unless you are scared of being beaten..?”

Georgina Neep, Community Development Manager for Noah’s Ark Trust said: “We are so grateful to all the team at Oakland International for choosing to support us this year.

“We are a local charity, that receives no government funding therefore it is crucial to our survival that we have the support of local businesses across Worcestershire. ‘It’s a Knockout’ will be a fantastic event for local people and businesses to get involved and have some fun!”
