UK’s foremost transport and logistics event
Multi temperature supply chain specialist in storage and logistics, Oakland International Limited, will be joining a host of other exhibitors at this year’s must visit transport and logistics event, Multimodal 2009 at the NEC, Birmingham (Hall 9) on the UKWA Pavilion stand, from 28th to 30th April.
After its first year being a resounding success for Multimodal 2008, the event is now on course to become the UK’s foremost transport and logistics exhibition and is already beginning to be seen as an ideal way to source new products and services, and to make new contacts within this specialist industry.
Oakland’s Managing Director, Dean Attwell, commenting on Oakland’s attendance at this year’s show said: “Multimodal is quite simply unique, being the only event in its field to incorporate the complete spectrum of freight transportation and logistics.”
“Oakland has a passion for providing a high quality service that encompasses superb value for money and over a decade of trading we now work with leaders from across the food industry spectrum, helping lead the way with innovative temperature controlled storage and distribution schemes, which are both cost effective and environmentally friendly.”
Oakland has extended its growth and expansion momentum despite the global economic downturn, broadening operations in 2009 with a new Irish depot opening in the summer, and taking on new staff to support their increasing Midland’s based storage and logistics operation.
Multimodal has already grown by 60% in its second year, with new exhibitors representing 30% of this expansion. Said Dean: “This is a great opportunity to exhibit at a national level joining many others taking advantage of this totally unique event. Multimodal is not only educational, it will be topical and an informative experience for all buyers, sellers or equipment suppliers. It promises to be a stimulating and interactive environment where we can all build our businesses and expand on our existing customer connections.”
