Pam in Pole Position for Monza F1

A pole dancer from Droitwich with a proven passion, determination and profound love of life is counting the days to the Italian Grand Prix on Sunday 13th September 2009 when she will be rubbing shoulders with the F1 teams.

Pam said: "I love watching the Grand Prix. As I'm a huge fan of Brawn GP and Jenson Button, I thought how can I combine my F1 passion and raise awareness of the Worcestershire Brain Tumour Support Group (WBTSG) at the same time? Then I had ‘my eureka moment’ and began writing to all the F1 teams and I can’t believe that I’ve been lucky enough to now be invited to meet the Renault and Williams F1 teams!"

Bubbly Pamela Waterlow who danced her way back to health following the diagnosis of a benign Meningioma brain tumour in early 2008, has been raising money ever since for her local Worcestershire Brain Tumour Support Group, an organisation which offered her help, friendship and who was quite simply invaluable to her throughout her treatment and recovery.

The support group, set up following the death of ten year old Frances, the daughter of Rosemary and John Wormington, who sadly lost her battle against a malignant brain tumour at the end of 2007, continues to grow, offering support and information to brain tumour sufferers and families from across the region.

Pam added: "I can't wait to get to Monza with my partner Steve to meet the teams; they've been great and agreed to sign a WBTSG polo-shirt and a Union Jack flag to support the group which will then be auctioned off for the benefit of the group. The whole experience is going to be fantastic."
