Responsible landlord, Sean McGahern, is delivering an anti-drinking and driving message this Christmas by offering a free collection and drop-off service at the Royal Forester, Callow Hill.
Under guidance from Wyre Forest District Council, Sean McGahern from the Royal Forester has reinstated his popular taxi service, helping people to avoid drink driving this winter.
Said Sean: “Working with local taxi drivers at 'Bewdley Taxi's, we are now offering our free pick-up and drop-off service to a five mile radius of the Royal Foresters which covers Bewdley, Kidderminster, Stourport and Cleobury Mortimer,and all underlying area's as we want to guarantee that our customers get home safe and sound.”
The Royal Forester Country Inn and Restaurant hold a number of popular events over the Christmas and the New Year period, and in the past local taxi firms had struggled to cover the Forester’s rural location, especially during very busy periods, which is why Sean and his team are once again offering customers a free, lift home in his comfortable novelty vehicle.
Sean added further: “We all like going out and enjoying ourselves especially at Christmas and New Year and when deciding which venue to go to the Royal Foresters taxi service is already a huge hit, making a significant and welcome difference to our customers when planning their visit.”
Kicking off the seasonal events will be the Royal Forester’s Champagne and Festive Gourmet Meal Menu on Tuesday 7th Of December, offering a blind tasting of bubbly and festive menus from around the world, with live music provided by the Royal Forester’s pianist who will play a selection of festive favourites every Friday and Saturday throughout December!

The Royal Forester’s seasonal grand finale is their New Years Eve party offering a five-course meal, band, casino and firework spectacular.
