Tinsdale supports Princes Trust business

Starting a business in the current economic climate can seem daunting and challenging but there is still hope for many young and aspiring entrepreneurs with the support of The Prince’s Trust Business Programme.

Nigel Tinsdale, a local businessman from Bewdley and mentor with The Prince’s Trust says: "It is really rewarding to be able to offer practical help and advice that immediately makes an impact."

Nigel who runs Tinsdale Investment Management in Bewdley, is currently mentoring David Sidwell of Choc‘n’Hog catering, a business offering hog roasts, BBQs, events and celebration catering for private and corporateparties.

David decided to start up his catering business after losing his job through long term illness.

He says: "The Prince’s Trust has been brilliant, by offering financial support and with the help of Nigel my mentor. I am now able to discuss with him any aspect of my business which is really great. I have recommended The Prince’s Trust to others looking to set up in business as it’s a great source of support which is difficult to find from the high street banks in our current economic climate".

The Prince’s Trust Business Programme helps young people, aged 18-30 years-old to set up on their own. They are given low-interest loans and three years mentoring support.

Nigel said: "Iam just one of many business people from around the region who have joined The Trust’s mentoring scheme. We give up our time to offer young people advice, information and support to local start up business.”
