WYJO, the Worcestershire Youth Jazz Orchestra, will be taking to the stage in support of the Worcestershire Youth Music (WYM) for a one day concert at Birmingham’s Symphony Hall on Sunday 10th May.
WYJO Musical Director Ian Hattersley said: “Performing and supporting WYM at such a prestigious venue as the Symphony Hall is a huge honour for us all. Being a small part of this amazing event provides our up and coming musicians the opportunity to build on their experience of working with other musicians from different orchestras.”
Performing with WYM, will be a number of WYJO’s talented musicians, producing their distinctive jazz feel on the daylong musical journey with their music resonating around the halls as they take to the stage, charming guests and visitors alike.
Playing a mixed repertoire there should be something for everyone. Mr Hattersley added: “Playing at Symphony Hall is a fantastic opportunity for everyone taking part.”
The curtain goes up at 6pm with tickets priced at £15 and available from the box office at Symphony Hall. Further details about WYJO’s forthcoming events can be obtained by visiting their website: www.wyjo.co.uk or by contacting 01527 540616.
