WiRE help promote International Women's Day

 

Women in Rural Enterprise (WiRE) will be celebrating this year’s International Women’s Day (IWD) 2009 on Friday 6 March at the Spadesbourne Suite, Bromsgrove.

Exhibition 10:30am to 3:30pm – FREE

FREE Daytime Exhibition of Health and Wellbeing from 10:30am to 3:30pm - offering an array of products to browse and buy. Refreshments will be available throughout the day.

Evening Fashion Extravaganza - doors open at 6:30pm

Catwalk begins at 7:30pm with local models taking to the stage from: 2nd Skin Lingerie, the Inkberrow Design Centre and their stunning collection of student’s work as seen at the Clothes Show Live at the NEC, The Clothes Rail, Simply Weddings and Parties, and a special performance by The Stage Door Dance Academy.

Karen Tomalin, Worcestershire WiRE network leader and director of 2nd Skin Lingerie, whose models will be joining a host of regional businesses and other organisations on the catwalk said: “It’s going to be absolutely fantastic.

“A day with lots to do, see and enjoy, and with local companies representing health, wellbeing, beauty, fashion and local business; the room will be full of ladies happy to talk and share advice and knowledge about their products.”

Tickets are priced at £5, with wine and refreshments available throughout the evening. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Marie Curies Nurses and the Prices of Wales Hospital League of Friends.

The day-long extravaganza organised to promote women within the workforce, offers numerous opportunities to learn, meet other business women and to buy exquisite products from around our region.

Said Karen: “International Women's Day is a day of global celebration, so come and join us for what promises to be a fantastic event and one not to be missed.”
