Midlands based multi temperature supply chain specialist in storage and logistics, Oakland International Limited, has again passed the 2010 BRC audit for storage and distribution.
Essential for all companies working within the food service industry, speaking on behalf of a jubilant Oakland QA team, Quality Assurance Manager Louise Smith said: “We are all absolutely delighted to again not only pass the audit, but to come through it so positively. Oakland’s insistence on exacting standards and the team’s personal dedication continues to deliver confident results helping us to maintain our BRC accreditation.”
Oakland’s consistency and elevated supply chain operation is a key factor in its popularity with its customers as the operator of choice. Internationally recognised as the ‘global standard’ for storage and distribution, the BRC audit covers environment standards, operating systems, traceability, layout, product flow and incorporates handling requirements of specified materials.
Oakland’s Operations Director, Paul Ziolek, said: “Retention of such a prestigious global standard is positive acknowledgement for our customers that they are dealing with a supply chain business ranked amongst the very best.”
A rigorous daylong audit included inspection of the firm’s processes, quality management systems and overall factory environmental standards. Attaining BRC standard enables the company to build on its significant business base and generate extended interest from new global business markets.
Said Paul: “Reacting quickly and providing a high degree of flexibility for our customers, Oakland’s QA team consistently excel and deliver. BRC recognition is testament to the 100 per cent effort everyone at Oakland puts in daily, not just when we have an audit.”
Recognised as a key player within their sector, Oakland offers a complete supply chain management solution for frozen, chilled and ambient product, and works with an extensive range of co-packing support services.
