Children from Holy Trinity International School’s Nursery and Kindergarten said ‘Hello’ to Bob the Builder on Friday 25th November, as the children took part in ‘Walk for Shelter’ – supporting the housing and homelessness charity of England and Scotland.
During a week-long fundraising initiative that included selling cakes and placemats which the children had made of Bob and Wendy, holding a book sale and of course their sponsored walk.
Nursery and Kindergarten Manager, Gaynor Carter, stated: “The charity’s theme is Bob's Big Project with the motto, Together, we can fix it!”
Said Miss Carter: “Children’s’ overall learning and personal development benefits greatly from diversity of core activities and experiences and as part of our support for Shelter, the children loved the opportunity to meet their building hero, Bob the Builder; a real highlight of the week!”
The Nursery, Kindergarten and Little Trinity children have met many people and taken part in numerous practical learning activities and experiences during the autumn term, developing motor skills, hand to eye coordination and as well as language skills.
