Chuffed with Crufts

A local couple from Bromsgrove are celebrating after seeing their Tibetan Terrier Mary attain a third position in her championship class at Crufts recently, competing against a formidable pedigree field of twenty-four other Crufts hopefuls, they are now busy preparing for next year’s 2010 competition following Mary’s qualification.

Roy Miles and his wife Anita, who only two years ago began showing Tibetan Terriers said they are astonished at their recent success. “We are absolutely flabbergasted,” said Roy. “To attain a third in class when we’re so relatively new to the whole Crufts thing is absolutely fantastic, so much so that we’ve already begun our preparations for next year and we now have our sights set firmly on the top spot!”

Bewdley based Roy works as a financial advisor at Tinsdale Investment Management, but his passion for show dogs and his wish to pass on his enthusiasm to others means he is well known for hisfinancial acumen as well as his love of all things dogs, taking every opportunity to talk to his clients about mortgages, long term investment strategies and of course dogs.

Said Roy: “Entering a dog show takes up an amazing amount of time, what with grooming, training, attending to their health and nutritional intake, there’s far more to it than you would think.

“Anita and I are passionate about our dogs and I suppose I let that overspill into my work as afinancial advisor. Personally I find the two go together quite nicely as my clients love to hear about how Mary’s getting on.”

So if you’re looking for sound financial advice and some solid show dog championship tips, then Roy’s maybe the man you should speak to?
