Extension of IT team good news for UK and Ireland

Multi temperature supply chain and logistics specialist, Oakland International, has appointed Hussam Hossien to the post of IT Systems Support Analyst, a significant addition to the firm’s ongoing development of its IT infrastructure, and a move designed to benefit Oakland customers both in the UK and Ireland.

Based at Oakland’s Midlands head office in Redditch, having previously worked for Serco and within the IT service industry, Hussam’s experience in Microsoft application and PC support will assist Oakland’s active streamlining of the firm’s IT infrastructure and functionality, both in the UK and at their Ireland depot in Ashbourne, Co. Meath.

Hussam commented: “I am enjoying working with the team to extend our IT service offer. Oakland’s determination to enhance IT functionality by working smarter has already helped identify a number of key areas which we can make more efficient.”

Working closely with Clive Harrison, Oakland’s IT Manager said: “Hussam’s appointment has already proved fruitful for our team. His knowledge and personal drive will ensure we continue to deliver on our promise to provide enhanced business benefits for all Oakland customers.”

A family owned operation, Oakland International has been established in the UK since 1998, successfully launching Oakland Distribution and opening their Southern Ireland hub Oakland International Ireland in 2009.
