Lactalis Nestle appoint Oakland International as its Irish distribution partner

The Irish multi temperature distribution hub venture between Oakland International and Caffrey International continues to bear fruit, attracting interest from Lactalis Nestlé who has now signed Oakland International to support their Southern Irish distribution business.

The contract will see Oakland International move up to 750,000 cases of product over the course of 2010 from their Co. Meath depot.

Oakland’s Irish General Manager, Richard Hill stated: “This is a great opportunity for the business, and testament to the quality of Oakland’s Irish operation.”

Oakland, working with Lactalis Nestlé on other contracts such as SPAR UK, is known for delivering a high service level value offer.

Additional major Irish retailers being serviced by Oakland include; Musgrave, Superquinn, Dunnes Stores, Tesco, Aldi, Asda and Hendersons.

All aspects of delivery paper-based procedures are overseen by Oakland including POD, reconciliation processes and collation of monthly KPIS.
