Expansion at Southern Ireland warehouse and logistics firm Oakland International

Southern Ireland based operator, Oakland International, is again looking to increase its workforce at its Ashbourne depot in Co. Meath.

The firm’s sustained business growth has again seen a need to recruit new staff. Oakland International Ireland General Manager Richard Hill said: “Continued expansion in service offer and new contracts means we need to increase full time staffing within our stock control and general administration departments at our Ashbourne site.

“I am delighted to be recruiting, especially in the current economic climate,” said Richard. “We hope to see further recruitment in the near future as we maintain our growth momentum.”

Perceived positively by customers, Oakland International is now an established consolidation and distribution operator acknowledged for offering effective crossdocking and storage to an increasing number of Irish retailers as they expand product range and market share.

Oakland International’s 30,000 sq ft Ashbourne site accommodates ambient and chilled product, delivering a highly reactive, flexible and customer focused service offer.

Said Richard: “The firm continues to deliver significant opportunities within the Irish retail market which is service driven. Lower cost, but an extremely reactive and flexible supply chain solution that appeals to Irish and UK exporters previously put off by the high entry cost and perceived difficulties in order management processes associated with the Irish retail marketplace.”
