All things football and nowhere to store essential kit, football mad youngsters from Alcester Town Football Club were in extra time and on the look-out for secure storage for their footie belongings until local storage and distribution firm, Redditch based Oakland International, called time donating a secure and water-tight storage container unit to house all their precious game essentials.
Oakland Director Paul Ziolek said: “Locally the company supports a number of youth sports teams and youth clubs and we were more than happy to help the club with the donation of a secure storage container for the team to store all their kit for the 2008/09 season.”
Previously stuck with exactly what to do with the host of equipment which included goal posts, grass mowers, line markers, lime and all the other essential football paraphernalia necessary to make a good game, the team, now well into the footie season, is making the most of their new team storage container.
Club spokesperson Jason Parker said: “This type of financial support from Oakland International is vital to the club allowing us to use the money we do have more effectively for the benefit of all our players.”
Alcester Town Football Club runs twenty teams with youth team’s ranging in age from U6’s to U16’s of girls and boys and four adult sides of two men’s, one ladies and one veterans team. The new season began for the U12’s Colts with the popular Saturday Morning Ambassador Evesham Football League.
In addition to helping with the storage of kit, Oakland International also agreed to sponsor the Alcester Town U12 Colts, buying their new kit and Town Badge for the season.
