Speller Metcalfe Resolve scalable IT solutions

 

A major player within the building contractor arena, Speller Metcalfe, will be increasing their investment in IT capability with the help of technical support and IT management specialists, Resolve Information Technology.

Malvern-based Resolve, having completed an initial installation in 2009 to replace Speller Metcalfe’s existing server technology, will deliver a new small works site. As a result of this expansion, they will also replace existing broadband lines at Speller Metcalfe’s head office with a new fibre optic link, capable of supporting the additional network traffic generated.

Tim Winstanley, Resolve Information Technology’s Director, stated: “We are delighted to be again appointed by Speller Metcalfe to take them through this next stage of their communications strategy development.

“A technically advanced construction firm, Speller Metcalfe has seen its IT storage requirements increase 100% in the last twelve-months as they utilise hi-tech solutions wherever possible, with all Speller Metcalfe sites enjoying full internet connectivity, they deliver site managers and contractors’ with internet access via laptops and email enabled smartphones, which greatly enhances communication flow throughout the organisation.”

With offices in Malvern, Gloucester and London, Speller Metcalfe’s significant investment in its communications technologies, has now seen Resolve also tasked with a project to convert Speller Metcalfe’s existing customer care systems to a new web-based electronic system.
