Kidderminster Preschool Begins Dedicated Music Lessons

A nursery in Kidderminster has introduced weekly music lessons aimed at fostering the emotional and physical development of its children.

Little Trinity Nursery Manager, Gaynor Carter, remarked: “We wanted to expand the range of activities available for the children, and given their love for music, we decided to support and nurture their musical interests.”

As part of their Thursday morning session, the new music lessons will initially be offered to the older children, with plans to extend this to all children in the future once established.

Gaynor continued: “Music engages every aspect of a child’s brain, promoting emotional, intellectual, and physical growth.

“It is widely recognised that the first five years of a child's life are crucial. This period is ideal for engaging them in multi-sensory activities that help develop essential skills such as coordination, fine motor ability, creativity, confidence, speech, listening, and socialisation. Most importantly, they love music, and it’s FUN!”
