Kidderminster Sisters Running for BowelBabe Fund

Kidderminster sisters who lost their mother to bowel cancer in 2014 are taking part in the Jog 31 Miles in May Challenge throughout May in support of the BowelBabe Fund for Cancer Research UK.

Sisters Harriett Moore and Esther Mortimer started jogging a mile a day on Wednesday 1st May.

Explained Harriett, the ICT Operations Manager & DofE Assistant Manager at Holy Trinity School:

“Esther and I are both taking part, but in our own very different styles. Esther has done lots of training, running several miles a day and she's worked hard to ensure that she's ready for the challenge. Me? I bought an inflatable flamingo, Fae, so we will be ‘running’ a mile every day in May together mostly through Kidderminster, but a few DofE expeditions will mean a ‘day away’ for me and Fae here and there!

“We were both pupils at Holy Trinity and our mum, Jane Morris, was a home economics and textiles teacher, so many of the staff remember her and have donated their support and we’re also hoping the local community and those that knew our mum will get behind us and help raise as much money as we can.”
