Twenty-seven students aged 7 - 10 years of age, from Kidderminster’s Holy Trinity School and Sixth Form (HTS), have achieved unprecedented success in their Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music Copper and Bronze Music Medal exams.
Head of Music Sarah Paterson commented: "All the children put themselves forward for these external exams, showing tremendous intrinsic motivation and commitment.
“There is a fabulous positive peer pressure in the Music department and a tradition of quality recorder playing, with students actively seeking to make music with their friends.”

HTS students enjoy a bespoke music curriculum adapted to each student, which help to build resilience, perseverance, and endurance for life beyond the classroom.
Ms Paterson added: "It is well known that music offers a wide array of benefits for physical and mental well-being, impacting mood, cognitive function and even physical health. It can reduce stress, improve mood, and enhance memory which must be a good thing with children. It is of course also a powerful tool for emotional expression and social connection which is plainly evident amongst these talented students."
