Nursery Show Support For Mental Health by Wearing Green

The children at Kidderminster’s Little Trinity Nursery have donned all things green in support of the annual Wear It Green Day on Thursday 16th May and raised £198.

As well as turning green the children have taken part in a range of activities including mindful colouring, listening to Mindful Monster Stories, yoga, class discussions on emotions, regular Bear Brain Breaks allowing for time to stretch and give all their brains a break, and learning a few new breathing techniques.

Nursery Manager, Gaynor Carter, said: "We hadn't participated before but thought it would be a great way for the whole nursery to express and show our support."

Since 1949, the Mental Health Foundation has been a leader in the UK for promoting good mental health. The Wear It Green Day is an initiative that invites schools, office workers and the community to raise awareness of the value of good mental health and to support the charity's work by raising funds for their essential research and community projects.

Gaynor also said: “We enjoyed wearing green and collected £198 in total, which is amazing, thank you – we really appreciate all the help and support from our families and staff.”
