Parents Share Proud Moments at Nursery Swimming Session

There were plenty of smiles, cheers and proud moments as parents and carers watched children from Little Trinity Nursery in Kidderminster take to the water to showcase how far they have come since starting nursery last September.

The special swimming session gave families the chance to see how the Yellow Bumble Bee class has grown in confidence as the children splashed, kicked and moved through the water with excitement and determination. For many, it was a joyful reminder of just how much their child has learned in such a short time.

Nursery Manager Gaynor Carter said: “Swimming is such a valuable life skill. It helps children stay safe around water, supports their physical development and, most importantly, builds confidence. Seeing the pride on their faces as they show their parents and families what they can do is incredibly special.”

For many children, their journey with swimming begins at Little Trinity, and this relaxed, supportive session was filled with encouragement from the poolside and seated gallery. Parents, carers and staff clapped, smiled and shared in the children’s achievements, creating a heart‑warming atmosphere.

Early water awareness is vital, as drowning remains one of the most common causes of accidental death in children, making these early experiences all the more important.

Added Gaynor: “It’s truly rewarding for our team to watch each child’s progress over the nursery year and to share those moments with families.

“Events like this remind us why we do what we do. It’s a lovely, feel‑good occasion that brings everyone together.”
