Children at Little Trinity Nursery in Kidderminster are busy learning all about growth and how it affects and changes people, and the planet’s many plants, animals and insects.
They have two outdoor ponds and unique butterfly gardens where they can observe their tadpoles as they grow tails and legs to transform into frogs, and witness how their beautiful caterpillars in their special cages change shape and emerge as butterflies.
Nursery Manager, Gaynor Carter commented: “The children are really enjoying observing and watching the tadpoles and caterpillars’ life cycles and are so excited for when they can release them back into the wild.
“The excitement when they arrived was huge and they are thoroughly enjoying the process of visiting them and seeing how they are beginning to develop, with the butterfly gardens set up in each room so that they can easily watch and see as they transform. It’s great fun!”
The children are also learning about the life cycle of a chicken.
