Kidderminster Children Enjoy New Dance Lessons

Children at Little Trinity Nursery in Kidderminster are dancing into the new term with a brand-new mix of ballet, street dance and acro, thanks to a partnership with local company J’s Dance Factory.

The weekly one-hour sessions, which are part of the nursery’s extended extra-curricular programme, give children aged 2 to 5 the chance to explore music, movement and creativity in a fun and supportive setting.

Nursery Manager Gaynor Carter explained: “Ballet has been a huge part of Little Trinity for longer than I can remember, so when our ballet teacher retired, we saw it as an opportunity to enrich the children’s experience and expose them to a wider variety of musical learning and dance styles. That’s when Jessica and J’s Dance Factory came in, and the children have been loving it.”

From skipping and bopping to pirouettes and pliés, the sessions are filled with energy and joy as the children discover new ways to express themselves through dance.

Gaynor added: “The children absolutely light up during these classes, and their confidence grows every week. Dance isn’t just about movement, it helps build coordination, balance and teamwork, all while having fun. It’s wonderful to see them developing new skills and making happy memories.”

Little Trinity Nursery continues to develop its creative curriculum by working with specialist local providers to create exciting opportunities for its young learners.
