To celebrate this year’s Random Acts of Kindness Week, children, families, and staff at Little Trinity Nursery joined forces to share kindness throughout Kidderminster, creating heartfelt moments, community connections, and smiles all around.
Their week began with children making beautiful kindness cards, which they proudly delivered to residents at The Shrubbery on Friday 13th February. The visit was filled with joy, conversation, and the simple warmth that comes from thoughtful gestures.
Next, the nursery community came together to collect treats, goodies, and essential items, generously donated by parents and staff, to create hampers for local heroes. On Monday 16th February, children then delivered these special hampers to the fire station, police station, and hospital, thanking those who help keep the community safe every day.

Later in the week, the children will take their kindness into the town centre. Armed with nursery‑purchased flowers they will hand them out to local residents, hoping to brighten the day of many surprised passers‑by with thoughtful, unexpected acts of care.
Nursery Manager Gaynor Carter shared: “It's important for children to understand that simple acts of kindness can positively impact how someone feels, and that being kind is worthwhile just to make someone smile.”
Throughout the week, children also engaged in reflective activities such as crafting tissue‑paper flowers, kindness cards, rainbows, and bookmarks, and sharing ideas during circle time about how they can show kindness at nursery, at home, and within their community.
This year’s celebrations beautifully showcased what happens when children, families, and nursery staff come together with one shared goal - to make the world around them just a little bit kinder. A week full of kindness, and memories that will last far longer.
Gaynor added: “Small, simple things can make such a huge difference and serve as a heart‑warming reminder that kindness truly grows when we nurture it from an early age.”
